I wonder how many people agree with John Tavares still going 1st overall instead of Victor Hedman remaining as the 2nd overall pick? I think that is the correct choice, however I have read various replies on here from those who believe Hedman should be the 1st pick in a re-draft.

I respect the cojones for putting Rask above Price.

Lucic is not better than Staal full stop.

Stamkos is not better than Karlsson.

Binnington is laughably high.

Frederick Andersen shouldn't be on two lists if he re-entered the draft. It would've been hilarious to have Carolina re-draft him though.

It's a tossup, wouldn't argue with someone taking either side.

It's not the correct choice. Hedman is far better now, and while Tavares started being good sooner, he was never the best C in the league (or really even on the short list).

Neither is Doughty TBF.

That is a strange thing to see.

It's also a funny coincidence that in 2009 they have Toronto selecting Tyson Barrie 7th overall, since he's currently a Maple Leaf today.

Finally seeing them moving Morgan Rielly to 4th overall in 2012 to the Islanders must hurt their fans knowing how bad of a selection Griffin Reinhart turned out to be.

They traded him for what ended up being Barzal and Beauvillier five years ago, so I doubt they're too torn up about it.

And because I point this out every time NHL.com messes this up, Hellebuyck wouldn't have gone in 2012 in a re-draft. He would have been drafted in 2011.

In addition to that, I have no idea what the methodology behind this is. Binnington being drafted ahead of Gibson in 2011 is pure nonsense, unless we're completely ignoring their entire career. I'm thoroughly convinced that NHL.com is just trying out the infinite monkey theorem every time they release anything except for box scores.

Find it funny the Bruins end up with Marchand regardless. Pretty crazy that in 2006 Bruins walked away with Kessel, Lucic and Marchand. 3 top 10 worthy picks.

2005 was a crazy good draft for goalies - Rask, Quick and Price. I appreciate Rask over Price even if some people will be angry.

Tough call with Hedman v Tavares. I think I would go with Hedman but it's damn close.

A few things stand out.

I don’t get how you pick Doughty over Stamkos but still pick Tavares over Hedman. Like you have to either go one way or another. I don’t have a problem with the argument either way but you can’t go both ways.

I also don’t understand how you can omit Nugent-Hopkins outright from the top 10 but still have Landeskog way up at 3. Makes no sense these players are neck and neck. Essentially equal offensively while Landeskog has the edge in physical play Nuge has the ability to play both center and wing. About as close as it gets and they should be beside each other wherever you rank them.
