It's a tossup, wouldn't argue with someone taking either side.I wonder how many people agree with John Tavares still going 1st overall instead of Victor Hedman remaining as the 2nd overall pick? I think that is the correct choice, however I have read various replies on here from those who believe Hedman should be the 1st pick in a re-draft.
It's not the correct choice. Hedman is far better now, and while Tavares started being good sooner, he was never the best C in the league (or really even on the short list).I wonder how many people agree with John Tavares still going 1st overall instead of Victor Hedman remaining as the 2nd overall pick? Neither is Doughty TBF.I respect the cojones for putting Rask above Price.
Lucic is not better than Staal full stop.
Stamkos is not better than Karlsson.
Binnington is laughably high.
Frederick Andersen shouldn't be on two lists if he re-entered the draft. It would've been hilarious to have Carolina re-draft him though.
That is a strange thing to see.Frederick Andersen shouldn't be on two lists if he re-entered the draft. It would've been hilarious to have Carolina re-draft him though.
How many other top Centre's were selected in 2009? Ryan O'Reilly is the only one that stands out after Tavares. It's not the correct choice. Hedman is far better now, and while Tavares started being good sooner, he was never the best C in the league (or really even on the short list).
They traded him for what ended up being Barzal and Beauvillier five years ago, so I doubt they're too torn up about it.That is a strange thing to see.
It's also a funny coincidence that in 2009 they have Toronto selecting Tyson Barrie 7th overall, since he's currently a Maple Leaf today.
Finally seeing them moving Morgan Rielly to 4th overall in 2012 to the Islanders must hurt their fans knowing how bad of a selection Griffin Reinhart turned out to be.
And because I point this out every time NHL.com messes this up, Hellebuyck wouldn't have gone in 2012 in a re-draft. He would have been drafted in 2011.
