I read the post you attached, the one supposedly supporting your claim. In that post, it didn't support your claim. I'm not going to go back and read an entire thread because you don't understand the concept of providing evidence of something you're accusing someone of saying.
-Asks for receipts

-Ignores said receipts because one page was too much to scroll through. Obviously someone who already attempted to search all the way back to 2020 and averages more than 5 posts a day since 2009 lives a very important and busy life.

Anything to cover for your brother, but it is admirable seeing you two have a stronger bond than most Alabama families.

They were saying the entire team was sick, and dealing with brutal illness. They had to start enough to play.

No idea why this guy gets so many excuses. First maybe he's injured, then it's JT Miller's fault, well maybe he's still injured from last season, now he sucked because he's sick.

He's been bad for a while now and his compete level is abysmal way too often for a guy making what he does.

Was at the game in Montreal as an American, the booing stuff didn't bother me. Once it gets started it's hard to "stop" because a few boos carry a lot of volume and other people will join in. It's not like a majority of crowd was booing. And everyone knows those boos are directed at one man. Hoping the crowd in Boston doesn't try and return the favor as it'll just make things worse. Overall great experience, although getting back to Chicago was a big nightmare.

Maybe because he was a 100pt player and has been a point per game player throughout his career, and now suddenly is not? He had an injury last year and through the offseason that prevented him from working out properly, and has struggled this season, for the first time in his career. That could be why.

It sounds like he had tendonitis and there were things he could be doing, but he chose to do next to nothing during the off season. Then came into camp out of shape and now can't get his legs to where they need to be.

It's not like he's coming back from reconstructive knee surgery and he couldn't do anything in the off season.

He's on pace for like 50 points at a near 12M cap hit, yet gets all the excuses in the book. Meanwhile if Seth Jones sneezes in the wrong direction half the posters here freak out on him.

Yeah, maybe he made the wrong decision in not training as much as he should have, people make mistakes. Doesn't mean you write him off for the rest of his career lol.

Pettersson has shown he can be a top player in this league almost every year he has been in the league, Seth Jones did once, 8 years ago. No one is advocating trading top picks/prospects for him, people just think he can still be the player he was 2 years ago, and most of last year.

Who is writing his career off? Guys can have their poor play called out like his, doesn't mean you're also saying a guy who is also 26 years old is done.

Vancouver is in a weird spot because you can't really trade him after moving Miller, but his NMC also hasn't kicked in so if you truly are worried he's just coasting now that he's been paid you still can get out of that deal. Someone would no doubt take a chance on him and give up good assets to do so.

Issue is trading him after trading Miller and you’ve basically committed to at least a soft rebuild and then with Quinn Hughes being a UFA in the not too distant horizon, he could not extend and then you’ve really blown it up.

I wonder if Hughes like others bolts for the States when his current deal is up. Would be pretty neat if nothing else to see all three Hughes brothers in NJ. With some money they'll have coming off the books around that time and the cap increase they can probably swing it too.

NMC kicks in this off season, right? If so, Vancouver is in a tough spot with what to do and I bet they end up keeping EP along with hoping they can extend Hughes when his current deal is up. Feels like they kind of have to at this point.

Like what the actual f***?

the mental picture of him in there hyping these hockey players up like they're the tip of the spear in an invasion force amuses me to no end. as an aside, when he says this stuff, in my mind i always substitute "alberta" for "canada" and it suddenly seems much less like a pipedream and more like a play at grabbing those tar sands and cutting out the middle man on nearly a quarter of the crude that comes into the states for refinement.

Fun game so far.

The McAvoy thing is really messed up. Apparently the team USA doctors gave him a shot to deal with the shoulder pain, and that's what caused his infection. Total bush league.

Really? Where did you read that?

A few random thoughts after too much bourbon….

super unimpressed by Adam Fox
Doughty is cooked
Marchand is cooked
Guentzel is really underrated
scratching Kyle Connor for Kreider was dumb
McDavid on an all time great level conversation is overrated

Last one is definitely the bourbon talking. McDavid is having a bad game but has done more than enough to earn his place in that discussion
