Looking at past winners, I think PK is due and a lock to win this year.

Considering this place has analytics darlings, coaching and tactics specialists, bloggers, and that organizational specialist, don’t see any of their handles up there in the winners column.

Not liking the east. Tragic but I got the leafs in the ECF vs Carolina, and I don’t like Carolina’s goaltending. Not big on either Florida team either. Washington is a paper tiger IMO. NJ sucks.

Colorado goaltending scares me, like the canes. LA was unbeatable at home. LA takes home the cup.

Tampa has played the equivalent of like 8 seasons in the last 6 years. There’s lots of miles on that car, and the tires are almost bald.

I read into Florida's injuries (and to a lesser extend the Ekblad suspension) a bit too much and wasn't sure how hobbled they'd be. After that, I just think Tampa Bay is better than everyone else in the East so it's just a bad match up for them to get first round.

Oh well, hopefully Florida and Marchand can ruin Toronto's dreams one more time.

It’s a fair assessment, TB looked great end of season, and FL was banged up pretty good. Think FL put out a lot mystery on the injuries leading to people having different expectations of them. If that’s the case, it kinda worked.

Maurice took a lot of criticism during his career, but he’s a perfect match for this team. He’s definitely noticeably more savvy than a lot of other coaches, he’s understated in others, so he can be viewed as kinda vanilla, but with FL he’s definitely been a different version of himself.
