I love Nazar and that contract but how in the world does Buffalo getting benson locked in under 8 make Nazar look better

He is not a better player. One solid playoffs doesnt make it so. Nazar is more dynamic and plays the more important position. This Benson deal absolutey makes Nazar's look like a steal.

Debatable. Both are pretty similar players, Nazar is a C though.

Not saying it is a bad contract for Benson at all, plus cant blame Nazar for lack of playoffs lol.

Benson is a key piece for the Sabres and they locked him down ( at a price of Tuch, Byram and Greenway)..good for them.

But folks are seriously sleeping on Nazar and this contract. He is easily worth the same as Benson.

Nazar has a lot of runway left ahead of him for sure. The key pieces of this team are all still very young.
