Yeah I’m not really a Drysdale or Cutter fan to be honest.

Drysdale can’t stay healthy and even though he’s extremely talented, he’s sort of vanilla player. Go
Through the motions skill.

I think cutter will be the better player but I see him as just a volume shooting wing. James Neal

Think we have reached end of Yotes in Arizona

Feels somewhat like Thrasher's situation though the idea of Yotes being sold/relocated but option to award an expansion team should Yotes owner win auction and build new arena in coming years certainty would appeal to BOG

Good. Glad that era is coming to an end. Gotta feel for the fans but they’re a NHL team, they can’t spend the next 3 years playing in front of 4,000 people

Given in past Yotes would shoot down rumors, etc this feels like it may infact be happening

I suppose it’s easiest because they already have the arena ready to go (where the Jazz play). I just question the location because it’s really not a big market in Salt Lake City. Even Winnipeg has three times the population and struggles with attendance.

Turn that knife ever tighter in Flyer fans

For those that don't recall after Bob's great rookie season as 22 yr old he was rewarded with losing his #1 job as Flyers ownership/management threw a huge $ deal to Bryzgalov in FA and relegated Bob to backup

After his 2nd season in NHL he was traded to Blue Jackets for a 2nd round pick and two 4th round picks.

Bob of course went on to win his 1st Vezina in Columbus that year while Flyers used that 2nd round pick on a goalie, Anthony Stolarz

Stolarz never got much of a chance from Flyers (Playing 19 games over two years) and ultimately ended up traded to Oilers and then a FA. A couple years ago Stolarz established himself as viable #2 in NHL with Ducks and this past offseason signed with Panthers to be Bob's backup

Stolarz is having himself a big year with the #1 Sv Pct and GAA in league while Bob is 3rd in NHL in wins with 34

Bob is also just 6 wins away from #400 in his career

Winnipeg's metro area is like 850k, Salt Lake's is 1.2 million. And that's before you group in Provo and Ogden which are each ~40 miles away but counted as their own metro areas; it's close to 3 million people who live within an hour or so of SLC. And like some of the other successful teams in non-traditional markets, they won't have a whole lot of competition in town

Wonder if Torts regrets at all the healthy scratching of Couturier for multiple games (March 19th and 21st)

The collapse of Flyers coincides with aftermath of that and clear loss of lockeroom

Flyers have now lost 8 straight including blowout losses to Hawks, Blue Jackets and Habs in that stretch

I think that deal is getting done. I don’t think Alex Meruelo ever had intentions of doing shit with this arena. He’s a con man. He’ll make his 700M on the sale. Unreal.

Phoenix as a market got f***ed, but Bettman wears a ton of blame as well. This arena thing was a joke. Look forward to NHL in Utah.

Watch Arizona win the draft lottery just to further twist the knife to their fans.

Elliotte talking on 32 Thoughts today.

1) Arizona players are f***ing pissed about how it went down. Arena this, auction that. All while doing this behind the scenes deal with SLC.
2) Mereulo going to be given first right to go back to PHX, but Elliotte says people around the league f***ing hate the guy and no one is going to trust him again.

Either way, looks like this shit is a done deal.

Man you got to think the League is not going to appreciate Vegas doing this Stone cap nonsense so blatant.

Crosby moved into the 10 spot in all time points last night passing Esposito and notched his 1000th assist too. I went to the game it was a blast with both Detroit and Pittsburgh fighting for the final wild card spot.
