Maurice Jets made playoffs 5 of the seasons he coached there including a trip to WCF in 2018 and 2nd round in 2021

Todd McClellan coached teams have made playoffs just 4 times since 13-14 season

He has won a single playoff series in that span (2017) and has been fired midseason by Oilers and Kings in that stretch

They are not really that comparable

Maurice led the Canes to SCF and ECF while coach there, Jets to WCF and now Panthers to SCF and winning a SCF

McClellan took over a Sharks team that was already good and full of talent and then proceeded to lose back-to-back lopsided WCF and the team then went into decline under his watch

He hasn't done anything of note in longtime and teams seem to quit on him 3-4 years into his term

That's a long way of saying neither had won anything, until they do.

strange move IMO. They have their core signed, still have 23mil in cap space WITH Skinner, and no big UFA is going to sign there. He wasn't THAT terrible, almost a 50pt player last year when everyone in BUF had a bad year. Over a point per game the year before.

Wouldn't mind the Hawks signing him to a short expensive deal.

Top 6 help coming in... but he's had no playoffs, so I'd imagine he goes to a playoff lock team

Need to break up that orange a bit with a black stripe across the chest near the shoulders or something. They shoulda went back to the 90's coloration. Kings jersey looks good but I wouldve loved the yellow/purple combo again.
 
Hate orange. Always hated bears gear for that reason. I think I’m just very lame.

Me neither .... but I can understand the thought process. Especially if the offenders feet are on the ice side of the boards waiting to join the action. Obviously, some teams must have been trying to gain an edge in this way.
