News Article: NHL and Rogers agree to new 12-year deal

Now I'm even more curious.

Do you play those 9-15 minute long math rock songs?
I play a wide genre of music. I lean more towards jazz these days (last 20 - 25 years). I even like bossa/samba stuff from Brazil. Rhythmically, from the perspective of what you need to do with your right hand (assumes you’re right handed) its very complex & challenging. I just find music that is more challenging is something that I like. Perhaps its because I’ve been playing for around 60 years, so I seek challenges. Most songs that involve a small number of chords (triadic chords), I can figure out by ear pretty quickly.

But, it's not the avant-garde, atonal stuff that I play. The songs that I play are very melodic and have rich harmony. People can play fast (shred) and play technically challenging stuff, but if it's not melodic and the music doesn’t imbed or display a deep understanding of harmony, I’m usually less interested in that.

Music is very wide and there’s lots of genres and differences about what people like. I usually find that even amongst people to play music even fairly well, what I gravitate towards is of interest to maybe 10% (maybe) of that population.

This is what I used to do when I was single. My bedroom would have 2 TVs side by side so I can watch tv or hockey games while playing video games.

Nothing was better than a Saturday little wake and bake and playing Forza while a documentary plays..easy to listen to documentaries while racing.

Now our best tv is in the living room...so I almost don't want to watch games anywhere else...wife won't allow 2 TVs side by side as it would be an eye sore...so I guess I wait until I can buy 2 better TVs for the man cave?
Glad to hear I'm not the only one to indulge in this lol. I got the idea from some of the NFL and College football fan dens I've seen where they'll have like 5 TV's in 1 room, but I really just need the 2. Tablet and a computer monitor beside me there too, so surrounded by screens already should I want a 3rd or 4th game on. Maybe come playoff time, but also streaming apps like Sportsnet limit you to only 2 concurrent streams anyways.

Some content definitely plays better on the side than others. Docs are good. Sports are great for it too and I just pause whatever game I'm playing during intense moments. Or just watching 2 games at once. Dialogue heavy movies and shows too.

No surprise your wife won't allow it! Mine wouldn't either, but she gone now, so I've since gone backwards with my bachelor hood taking over the house. 2 TV's beside each other upstairs, sports and media memorabilia everywhere, ping pong/foosball/darts, and I just upgraded the home theatre to a 135" screen and expanded the room. Silver linings to getting divorced. Good luck with your man cave plans!
