Habs have had good lottery luck in recent years in that we haven't dropped. It still sucks though because I wouldn't be surprised if Hawks go for Demidov and Jackets go for Lindstrom.

From what I've read on HF CBJ seems to be interested in the 6'7" Russian dman as well so we'll see.

Glad we didn't drop. Don't put it past Hughes trying to move up to 2, as Chicago could use a D, and the extra assets may be enticing enough to them.

It sounds like the draft is very wide open from 2 to 5-6 compared to most drafts, so I don't think it matters that much.

Why? The odds just played out to get this result. Most probable 1st went to 1st, most probable 2nd went to 2nd, and 3rd most probable odds went to 3rd.
