I think it was Hradek speaking, he called Ratzlaff a sneaky good pick by us. Likened him to Dustin Wolf going around the same range.

Ratzlaff is pretty solid here. Played great behind a loaded team. Also on hockey Canada's radar, so he will get some extra work/instruction through that avenue

At this point who the heck knows.

Aron Jessli. He will be at Niagara next year. Seems like a total PITA and a good 7th round get.

If we were in Montreal’s spot at 5 I think we would have taken Michkov…but if we wouldn’t I would have wanted them to take Benson. So I found the first round delightful.

Strbak was near the very top of my round 2 wants And I wanted them to use a mid-late round pick on a goalie…so that worked out

A couple big forwards with upside and another good RHD prospect…

tough not to like what has happened in this draft.

4 of their last 5 have been Russians who have slid.
It's like they have a type.

And it works. For all we pumped Botts tires for the Skinner deal, Kotchetkov and Nikishin are the picks who they gave up and that's one of the best goalie prospects and the best defenseman not in the NHL right there.
