Everything will be OK, guys, can you imagine if he went to SJS?!? Ducks will be just fine, but yes of course it's frustrating how it went down
In a way it just gets tougher knowing that the Ducks have a shot at the better player but choosing wrong could gift him to SJ. What if Michkov is Bedard's Ovechkin?

The ONLY thing that’s not gonna make me blow a gasket is that Chicago, even with Bedard, unless or even if they nail literally ALL their picks is still like 3-4 years from being remotely competitive and we get our choice of Fantilli.

Thank god it’s not in the division though. San Jose getting #1 would have killed me

I knew for a long time we wouldn't draft 1st overall that is only part of why I didn't want Ducks finishing dead last. So depressed from this past season with Ducks finishing dead last and made worse by a number of Ducks fans wanting them to and then being so happy when they did.
Yeah, but finishing dead last just got us Fantilli (presumably). Franchise center with a mean streak who would go #1 overall in many drafts.

I'd hate to be Bedard right now, skating on scorched earth in Chicago? It's going to be a painful first few years in the NHL.

Selfishly, would have been nice having Bedard join a core that is ready to shift from lottery team to playoff contender.

Yes, we would be much better off if we finished 5th from the bottom and have the 5 pick instead of 2.

Get this BS out of here.

I wouldn't be half as pissed if it were CBJ, but it had to be f***ing chicago who the league turned a blind eye to all the bullshit that went on there, and then didn't even punish them whatsoever and once again they just happen to get something to resurrect their franchise
It’s why everyone is pissed. How many times did u hear it doesn’t matter where Chicago finishes they will get Bedard

Fantilli is going to be one hell of an Anaheim Duck. He really brings a type of game that nobody else on the team has. I'm very excited to have him on the team.
Months ago I whispered that I thought Fantilli was the best stylistic fit. For Canada he played his heart out. You win with those players.

But again, everything will fall down on how deep team and structure we build

It would have been nice to have no drama going into the draft, now we not only have to debate the obvious guys but Verbeek potentially going off the board as well.

They need to get this draft right that's all I know

We're getting a franchise player. It's not all bad. It's just that the team that most deserves to wallow in the gutter for ten years like Edmonton and Buffalo did are the ones to get the next generational tier prospect after McDavid. Absolutely f***ing gross.

Yeah , I know it’s just disappointing. We had it, Top 2, we were there, and then nope. Lol.

So in our history we lost a generational talent to a struggle Pens franchise and now to a struggling Hawks franchise, both teams that legitimately tanked. Absolutely horrendous
bettman did mario a favor and now has to make sure to keep one of his golden clubs competitive
