FWIW Raider beat writers at the combine have suggested that the feeling around the league is that the gap between Sanders and Ward has widened and the possibility that Sanders will be available to them at 6 is a real thing.

Cant believe I bought this. In the giveaway bag

Patriot tackle Vederian Lowe stupendous 35 3/8" arm length. Vederian walk through that door. Wil Campbell just tested out as elite lineman at combine and should be able to make this local squad. Nowhere to go but up for the Patsies in this draft.

I'm not convinced. I've got concerns about both Campbell and Graham.

This is starting to shape up like the Pats might go a little off the board if they can't trade down.

I tend to agree with this. I've had this feeling about it, partially driven by the fact that it seemed pretty clear Wolf didn't want Maye last year, so he's an off the board thinker. I think Mykel Williams might be the guy they want. I don't think it's a coincidence that Mike Reiss included him in his Sunday Notes today (along with a comment about Graham being undersized for a Vrabel DT) and also had an article about him last week. Phil Perry has mentioned him as a sleeper pick. I believe Mike Giardi has also said people in the organization like him.

I would honestly love a trade back and take Tyler Warren. Who said they have to draft a WR to help out Maye? I think the kid is the real deal....a weapon is a weapon. Trade for a WR, sign one in FA.....hell draft one in 2nd. If you can fill holes in FA or trade and Hunter and Carter are gone by pick 4, I move back a bit and take Warren.

I’m cool with him at tackle, his athleticism and technique has already been challenged against high level pass rushers. It’s not like he was playing in the mountain west, he will see the best pass rushers he faced in the SEC in the NFL. Don’t think a couple fractions of an inch on his reach will be a big deal for him

In re: to Mykel Williams that would be interesting. Hes only 20 but seems to have everything you’d look for in an edge prospect

Missouri's Armand Membou might have entered the discussion for OT1 with his combine measurements and testing.
Ohio State’s Josh Simmons apparently has his medicals looking good too, might be a little more offensive tackle depth in the top 2 rounds than previously thought

I also read Niners are open to moving Aiyuk
Aiyuk is coming off an ACL he suffered mid season. Will barely be ready for week 1 and typically with WR, coming off an ACL, won't be the same in the first season back. Plus, he'd be a big dead cap charge, at $39 mill per Spotrac if cut. For sure, there is $18 mill of remaining SB money left to eat. Depending on when the option bonus is paid, his '25 and '26 option bonuses become guaranteed on April 1, 2025, but he's injured so I think those will guarantee.

If SF ends up paying the '25 bonus, that's another $22.8 mill to get us to the $39 mill in Dead Cap charges for Aiyuk. SF is already eating $31 mill in dead cap on Deebo. He along with 2 others combine for $59 mill in dead cap.

Very difficult for teams to trade a player withing 1 year of signing them to a new contract. If he wasn't injured, then $18 mill left of the SB, is manageable, so long as they deal him before his option bonus is due. But, with him injured, they can't move him until 2026 realistically. Or earliest that the TDL in 2025.

Imagine telling Bob Kraft in March 2019 that his reputation was still going to suck in 6 years, and it won't have anything to do with spa massage parlors. That's what throwing your long-time head coach under the bus, hiring someone because of vacation vibes, and overall just being cheap will do to you.

It's quite the tour de force. And he's doing all of this while desperately trying to make the HOF. Robyn Glaser must have learned that "do the opposite" tactic from Bob's HOF campaign.
