Next 45+ year-old active player?

Moe Roberts is a wild one.

He played his first NHL game with the Boston Bruins in the 1925-26 season. He played his final game with the Hawks in 1951-52.

In between, he played seven games with the New York Americans.

He made his NHL debut, at age 19, as an emergency goaltender. He was the youngest player to ever play goaltender in the NHL. He played his final game, at age 45, as an emergency back up. He was the oldest player to ever play goaltender in the NHL.

He was no longer the youngest goaltender to suit up in the NHL, that title had been taken by Harry Lumley. However, Lumley got him back in the record books by suffering an injury that required Roberts, who at this point was a trainer for the Hawks, to put on the gear and become the NHL's oldest netminder.

The player has to be a fitness nut to compete at an older age. Jagr had keys to the rink so he could train anytime. Who are the fittest older players in the league right now?

Nick Suzuki if he wants to.

Dude has never missed a game. Like ever. Something in his DNA for sure. Even the Covid years when the team had an outbreak, it never hit him. I see him as the first player to play 2000 games.

Sid could likely do it if he wanted to. He's almost 38 and still a 90+ point player (on a terrible team with a terrible PP). I'd like to see him go for 2000+ points, since he'd only need to average 60-ish points over the next 5 years and could easily surpass that. Anything after that is gravy.
