very tough stretch. Even the 'easy' games are huge. They'll need much better puck possession, getting +1 GSAA per game by their goalie isn't going to happen.

On the plus side they've generally played to the level of their competition this year.

Nah. Only the bottom and top 2/3 teams in the East seem to be separating themselves from the pack, and that's only slightly. Even if we go....say.....3-5-2, we're quite unlikely to lose contact with the playoff pack.

Might we be outside of the top 8 after this stretch? Sure.

But I can't picture a scenario where we're out of the hunt altogether after this 10 game stretch.

The two games that we "must" win in this 10 game stretch are against the Isles and the Red Wings. Win those 2 (preferably in regulation), find a way to get some points against the Western teams and we'll be just fine.
