Panarin - Strome works, why mess with it?

Howden is a center so other things being equal - he’s ahead of Lemieux for the last spot in the lineup.

Well for me, Strome has been doing fine without Panarin, so I'd like to see if

1) Panarin can boost Kakko and Chytil's offense
2) Panarin can develop chemistry with Chytil before Strome departs.

I've been surprised by how well Kreider and Strome have played together though. Could just be two streaky players getting hot at the same time.

Yeah Rooney has seriously come down to earth but still so much better than Howden.
Hopefully Rooney has a good game against his old club

Why do you think brass is not in on Sam Bennett? It's almost exactly the type of guy we need on paper. He can play wing, Center. Needs a change of scenery and can play up and down the lineup. Far better 3rd line option than Blackwell, Lemmy, PDG, Rooney or Howden. Maybe they just don't see him as a guy that fits our mold. IDK
 
I look at a guy like Alex Tuch who I've always liked and is really starting to develop into a top power forward. He is big tall and fast.

Who do we have like that and that who is a year younger. Julian Gauthier needs to be given a chance consistently in the top 9 to see what we have. His size speed ratio is special.

Could just be Calgary wants too much for him because they used a good pick on him. Also imo he’s not better than Blackwell at all but would be an upgrade on Rooney and Howden for sure..

I don’t disagree Gauthier should get more time but Tuch has proven so much more than him already, I’m not sure they’re comparable in the most optimistic scenario

"Works"

IMO Strome is lazier and leans way too much on Panarin. Forces passes that aren't there to try to give him the puck. Strome has had much more complete efforts with Panarin out and playing with Kreider.

ABC's Monster week was the shit back then. 4:30 Movie every day of the week. Godzilla vs Megalon, Godzilla vs Smog Monster. Gamera etc.

One thing about the old Godzilla movies. If you ever catch one on TV now the themes were all way ahead of their time in their messages.

Godzilla vs Smog Monster was about Pollution
Godzilla vs Megalon was about the effects of Nuclear testing on the Environment
Son of Godzilla was about Bullying.

Sure I'll take Tuch all day over Gauthier but Tuch didn't develop over night either. We aren't winning anything this year, we need to let all of our young forwards get the experience and chances IMO. I know Quinn feels pressure and I've been a critic of his handling the team this season but if he would give these guys extended opportunities I know I would lay off him.
