Correct. Down 1-2 v. Florida right now.I think if the Hab-nots lose we also clinch

Nest case scenario. Swamp kitties win, Jackets win. Jackets end the night tied with the Hab- nots. Swamp kitties don't clinch, Canes do!Correct. Down 1-2 v. Florida right now.
So we also could have clinched with a Habs loss. We were 8.4 seconds away before MTL tied it at two and wasted no time in OT to sweep the defending Stanley Cup Chamipons. If my math is correct, with a Columbus regulation loss tonight against Nashville, we clinch a playoff spot tonight. I'm appreciative of the fact that we no longer have to sweat whether we're even getting in now.
It was worth it to see the rangers fall further from the playoffs! So we also could have clinched with a Habs loss. We were 8.4 seconds away before MTL tied it at two and wasted no time in OT to sweep the defending Stanley Cup Chamipons.
Fine, I guess we’ll just do it ourselves.
Agreed. I'd actually root for the Habs or CBJs in the playoffs. It's been forever for those teams. If the Rangers end up playing Washington, I'm contractually obligated to root for the Capitals against them, even if it pains me to do so.It was worth it to see the rangers fall further from the playoffs!
That was a borderline heroic performance by Suzuki to put his team up in the last wildcard spot like that. The kid is building a rep of being clutch on top of skilled - even if the last second goal was a bit fortunate. I don’t actually care if our clinch got put off for a night for a really amazing game/effort like that. Not unlike Ghost’s play of the season keeping Detroit in it when it mattered most.
The Habs may be annoying af but the league is better when they’re a good team, and it’s a lot of fun to watch a team turn the corner from youngsters to playoff team.
On the flip side if Cbus makes it after the tragedy it’s also an amazing feel good performance that tugs the heart strings. You can’t root against them. They should’ve been fighting to be the worst team in the league and here they are knocking at the door. That’s all heart. Good for them.

Baby steps. Let's see if he is the Cane with the most Selke votes first.
Yes, with Staal in 2nd, 387 points ahead of Jarvis.Wasn't he 7th in Selke voting last year?
Barkov vs Jarvis for the next X number of years.

Janko near a 100% on D too
I've been saying forever Jarvis could be our 2C easy if he can win FO's just a little more. But that means pulling him from Aho which, man IDK about that. They've really worked it out.
I still say Stankoven for 2C. But then you have Staal and Jankowski who is on fire. I mean shit. If Jankowski somehow got his cheat code unlocked and sustains this thru next year maybe he can be 2C? Its too late to change the mix and see what works or take that risk but damn.
Yea I wouldn't expect Janky to be more than a 3rd line guy at best. We've seen Nookie go on Wayne Gretzky streaks but he's a bottom 6 guy, even Roslo who started the season super hot is a middle-six-ish guy but ideally probably not a 2nd liner if you can help it (like KK)I think Jank is the eventual Staal replacement.
