Actually 18 games left, which makes it more realistic.
Makes it very likely IMO. With all the doom and gloom in here this calendar year people may not realize it but we are 7th in the league right now, basically tied with 6th and 3 points out of top 5. I don't think we have a shot at catching the Caps/Jets, but we could easily still finish top 4-5 or so. We have a pretty easy schedule the rest of the way too.

8H 10A and one west coast trip with 4 back to backs.

In any other season I'd say that's a slate of games where I'd say we should go 13-5, but with the way we've been on the road this year, I don't know
I mean, those road opponents are pretty damn easy. I know we've struggled on the road this year for some reason but it's not like we can't win on the road. Against easy opponents down the stretch as we get ramped up for the postseason I think we'll be fine. Only difficult road game is Washington really. Kings/Red Wings maybe but we did just beat the Wings in Detroit so obviously that can be done again.

That schedule is soft as baby shit. There are what, 4 or 5 dates against playoff teams out of 18?

Remember when the team had a functioning social media team and would do fun things like have kids draw the pictures of players for Kid's Night?

Anyway, check out this AI garbage from last night

Um

I think we'll see a pretty good finish to the season. Nothing earth shattering, but enough to have us feeling pretty good heading into the playoffs.

Why does it matter? Who cares? Do you have money on the line or is it a fantasy thing? Genuinely not being a dick, fully curious why it’s a big deal.
It's nice for fans to have some kind of idea to manage their expectations/excitement level about the team, and also for buying tickets to games to see specific players (less of a thing in the NHL than star-driven NBA or NFL where QBs impact the game so much, but if the Canes were playing the Oilers I'd want to know if McDavid is expected to play or not before buying tickets/planning travel, etc. as his presence could definitely impact the decision making there/willingness to spend). But otherwise I generally agree with you and don't care that much either. Gamblers care though and these days they run sports so...

LOL. Because I want to know what’s wrong — even a simple upper or lower body— with one of my fave players?

I don’t gamble or participate in fantasy leagues. I watch hockey games. Thanks for asking.
