Something was going around my office a couple weeks back and between a Thursday and the following Monday nearly 50% of our building had some variation/severity of whatever it was...not too serious but enough to feel kinda crappy for a day or two

both COVID and Influenza-A are spiking across the triangle right now. My FIL has Influenza-A, and after being admitted to the ER on Monday, is now dealing with in-home care because there weren't any rooms at REX to keep him (he's apparently doing much better today). And my oldest daughter came down with COVID last week, and my wife tested positive for it over the weekend. Not that its really stopped their routines, just glad it wasn't full blown flu.

Also worth noting that the bird flu is a strain of influenza A.

This Suzuki thing is so strange. The kid is playing very well in the AHL. Bring him up and see if he can hang with the big boys. I absolutely ask for a trade if he hasn't already.
Producing at the AHL level and playing the way the team needs are two different things. It could also be related to the role of the guys that have been injured this year not fitting what he does best. FWIW, when I've watched the Wolves, guys like Jaaska are pretty clearly a better fit for the team style and were also producing well.

If I had to guess, he's either a throw in for a deadline trade, maybe Montreal if we work with them, or we trade him for like a 6th like we did with guys like Webber and Rees.

KK + Ryan Suzuki + 2nd for Nick Suzuki

Montreal gets the player they always wanted, KK, they can claim forever they won the trade for getting him back, and they get so save money on merchandise by being able to reuse all those Suzuki jerseys they have in stock

Man I know the NHL has a tough time marketing itself, but looking at the merch available for the 4 Nations, it's BAD. Each country only has 2-4 players whose jersey you can buy. For the Canes that means you can only buy a Aho jersey, Jarvis, Slavin, and Rantanen are nowhere to be found.

And I thought maybe there would be something available at The Eye for the specific teams. Only Aho and Jarvis t-shirts.

Not a huge loss, as far as Finland goes. As in the 2016 World Cup, the Team Finland jersey looks like something out of a Mighty Ducks movie.
