Not impressed with him. He’s a point collector and the stat nerds get all amped up over his numbers.

In a playoff series or big game? He’s not a guy to rise to the occasion at this level.

Yeah, I don't think they can replace his production unless they get someone like Rantanen. Nelson isn't moving that needle and maybe they don't buy at all now. They weren't better than any of the Atlantic top 3 as is so I don't think this is the year to push their chips in the middle.

It actually seems like this is the year Lou pulls the trigger and tries to retool.

With that being, timing is everything. Jersey may be out of the mix, a few teams have already made moves and guys like Crosby and Marchand are potentially being dangled. You don’t want to get too cute here and get caught in a game of musical chairs without a seat.
