We really do. Brendan is world class. And the rest of the team is excellent.
I only started following Isles in 2018, and they quality of the coverage was actually a big part of it.
Sadly, I no longer have access to MSG so don't get the preview and post match stuff, which I used to enjoy.

Excellent night for us on the scoreboard
What do you mean excellent? In what way was it excellent? Playoffs excellent, or tanking excellent?

Going from Howie Rose to Brendan Burke was like the Mets going from Bob Murphy to Gary Cohen.

Boston blows a 3-1 lead. Vegas scores a PPG with a minute to go, it gets called off for goaltender interference. Momentum swing? Nope Vegas scores on power play

2 points tonight sure looks useful

Habs lose again this time to Tampa

Putting Ottawa back in wild card spot much more of a team I’d like to be hunting down. New playoff contender, more likely to fall back compared to Lightning

Take it for what it's worth but Bissonnette thinks there's no way in hell Rantanen signs long term with Carolina. They may actually flip him again at the deadline and we all know how crappy that return will probably be. Made me think of the Vanek trade, which had me doing the 'where is Sebastian Colberg now' search to find he retired from hockey at the end of the 22-23 season and is only 30 right now. I liked the Vanek trade when it happened, but was too naive in thinking we had a chance at keeping him. That was an exciting stretch of hockey watching Vanek, Tavares and Okie do their thing though.

And if Rantanen is traded again or leaves as a FA, it should at least temper those who think it's all on our GM. How many here would have done that trade if it was to here with Barzal going the other way, with similar pieces? I'm sure there's plenty.

Two spreadsheet GMs made a deal, one panicked (COL), the other is desperate (CAR) bc his other UFA trade walked away to a competitor and now is leaking info to the media to push the narrative that ‘they offered him gobs of money, but he didn’t want it’ so we tried….

My guess is Lou doesn’t make that trade without knowing he’s going to be able to lock the player up. Bc he has a track record of doing that. Fans find fault with that, but you can see here how this is going to blow back on CAR not once, but twice. Add in their best player needed to sign an offer sheet to get paid… this is the Snow/Wang approach to acquire, test run, give fans hope, and wing and prayer he signs.

At the time of the deal, I suggested Rantanen wasn’t going to sign with Carolina. So far, he hasn’t fit in on the ice and doubtful with the cap increase, he has more UFA options, off to UFA land he goes.
