News from Around the AHL NHL KHL 2024 25

Four goals to go, 2 more games st UBS, you just know it’s happening against the Islanders.
I'm thinking as they're playing out the string the only defenseman willing to throw his body in front of a blast from the Ovi Spot would be Romanov, and he plays the other side. Easy pickins'.

Ovi will be going all out on Friday to get it at home. Would be amazing to see what happens if they are up a goal, he already has two in the game and has a breakaway on an empty net to break the record, what does he do? lol
But even if he gets none on Friday, there is no doubt in my mind he will get a hat trick against either sieve we will have in net.
It looks like the game is sold out right now and the cheapest resale is like 175. If he gets a goal or two on Friday, I bet you see the get in price go over 250, maybe 300. Our place will be packed with non isles fans for that game.

I'm getting sick at the thought of Ovechkin scoring a hat trick to break the record and fans throwing hats on NYI ice for an Capitals player.

YUCK

Don't worry. He's gonna score two tomorrow and then only one on Sunday.

I guess I'm the only one who hopes he does break the record on Sunday so I can witness the historic event?
I also don’t really mind, I don’t have anything against the Capitals.

Also, if he scores, it’s more likely we lose and move towards more favorable draft odds

Montreal beat bruins. Isles 7 points behind. Also these bruins are really tanking huh? 7 game losing streak. I know they’re without Marchand and mcavoy but are they really as bad as sharks and blackhawks? Geez

They've lost 10 in a row but there's an OT loss mixed in so it shows only as 7 on NHL.com.

I actually hope he does it against us just to say i was there. I am waiting to see if he breaks it against the hawks before i actually buy a standing room ticket lol.

They're in a bad way imo. Yeah, they have Pastrnak and McAvoy (but he always seems to miss games or be nursing an injury). But the Lindholm contracts don't look very good, and they don't have much else.

imo they're worse off than NYI even though they have a legitimate star player.

They got themselves a ton of second round lottery tickets in this draft.

I think Bruins did a much better job at the deadline that we did though. Moving out Coyle, Carlo, Frederic, and Brazeau for picks and young players allows them to be aggressive in free agency and trades. Boston also always gets the Original 6 bump to attract those players too.

Kyle Palmieri though, way too important for the New York Islanders. That 2nd round pick wasn’t worth it

Traded Charlie Coyle, traded Trent Fredric, traded their captain, no McAvoy.

I think if Lou had traded Palmieri after he traded Nelson at the TDL we'd be right there with the Bruins.

St. Louis... What a heater they're on.

Interesting seeing Snuggerud get his first point for them in a game where McGroarty got his first for Pittsburgh. Those two were on the first line together at the U18 Worlds a few springs ago.

Nice to see the Penguins get a point though. Overall, there are 8 teams below us in the NHL standings. The Pens are just 2 points back.

Ovechkin scores again, two away from breaking the record. Lining up perfectly for the game against the Islanders.

The West is shaping up as maybe WPG-StL and DAL-COL, with the winner of each series playing against each other in the next round. If that's the case, the teams in the Pacific bracket don't seem as strong and could benefit from the Central bracket beating each other up.

The stars might be aligning for another TBL Cup win....
