Just in a quick summary of DNS:

You go to a website, and the DNS converts the domain name to an IP address.

So pi-hole blocks specific domains that serve ads and replaces the IP with 0.0.0.0 which will obviously fail. So the ad is now blocked.

Something is being blocked that is causing the app to crash. And it's not a single domain. Seems they have multiple required hostnames that are on ad blacklists.

It could also be the upstream DNS you use. I had this issue with Hulu if I used NordVPN’s DNS.
