How’s Lafreniere looked?

Depends who you ask.
He's had his up and downs this game. His first few strides look as bad as they did last season. I don't think his skating has improved much, or at all. The first half of the game wasn't very good for him. On the powerplay he's been able to touch the puck a lot more getting #1 time. I feel like he's been more engaged in the play playing away from the wall on the power powerplay. (like in front of the net and point blank bumper/middle). He made a nice give and go with Chytil on the powerplay, although Chytil saved it by being able to kick the puck up to himself. He's been reverting to the Laf side as the 3rd winds down. The 3rd has been by far his best or at least most comfortable looking period. He's made a few good plays here in the 3rd.
