not bad....but no Graves?

It felt like cheating to put Graves on anything but the first 3 lines. He doesn't supplant Mess or Panarin, and keeping Straka-Nylander-Jagr together was a priority for me.

You put Gretzky with east west players, not north south players (imo).

Potential dark horse options--guys drafted by and who got their start with the Rangers, even though most of their success came elsewhere:

Marc Savard: (706 points in 807 games
Doug Weight: (1033 points in 1238 games)
Tony Amonte: (900 points in 1174 games)

Both Savard and Weight only played their first two seasons with the Rangers, putting up less than 70 ish points total. I think Savard would have been a lock for 1000 career points if not for the concussions. He was still quite young, and was coming off three consecutive seasons of ppg+ production.

As good as they were as a line I’m not sure any of them make the roster. We’ve had some insanely talented forwards over the last 30 years and unless you include them as an entire line, which you can’t given the quality of forwards to choose from IMO, it’s hard to find space for the Czech mate line.

Still a wonderful bright spot for our team during a sh*tty era though.
