I understand that you want the Nylander line to be #1 because of their chemistry but I can't help laugh that he's the #1 center when he should be the #4 center on this team.

Ulf Samuelson is not on this team. Kasparaitis over Girardi? Straka and Nylander on the top line? Messier a 3rd liner?

Staal, Girardi, Beukaboom, Nash, Kovalev, Graves, Dubinsky, Callahan, Nedved, Lafontaine, maybe Bure with his small sample size should all warrant consideration

Roszival and Kasparaitis wouldn't see the roster on a 1990-2020 team. On the early side of that span, James Patrick was significantly better than either of those two on the right side, and I'd take Girardi and Beuk over those two as well (and would almost certainly take any/all of Trouba, Fox, and DeAngelo given another couple years tenure with the team).

With the forwards, Graves needs to be in there somewhere.

My bad if my tone came across as tearing down. Really, the main reason I only addressed the RD and Graves is because his initial roster
(outside of those two areas) was pretty damn near perfect IMO.

all my 4 lines are first lines, i would just roll them. ofc lots of players could be switched, nothing else to expect when you have 30 years of players to choose from.

I'm surprised by the amount of people picking Samuelsson. I only started watching hockey in 1999, and that was very limited, but I never had the impression he was that good beyond being physical. Well, this has taught me something.

Not sure how anyone's dream team can have Rozsival be Leetch's partner and not Beuk, but guess to each their own.

Tony Amonte? Mattias Norstrom?

And is this an All-Star team or realistic team? I would have thought that players like Domi, Kris King, Kocur would have found their way to the 4th line.

Unfortunately, Jan Erixon was already on his last legs, otherwise he would have needed to be included in a realistic scenario.

Combination of the best players to play as a Ranger, my favorite players, real-life chemistry, and some lineup balance (e.g., a 4th line that can grind/play defense, no superstars on the bottom line so no Lindros, Fleury, etc.)
