Rangers have a 3.9% chance of making the playoffs, and realistically have to go 11-3-2 to have a shot. Odds are they don't and everyone here realistically knows that, but to be upset when they win, or saying it's only because they aren't playing real teams etc etc, is a little annoying.
Same odds as landing Dahlin in the draft. Middle of the road is death.

This team that won three in a row is part of the rebuild. Where you plug your joy in is your choice, but why not see this as part of a continuum? How exactly should losses be manufactured, if that is indeed the wish?

Spot on man. I've tried to be apathetic and it sucks. me wishing this team to lose obviously hasn't worked in the last week

Staal is just dreadful. Not withstanding the McDavid goal, did he connect on a single pass all night? Flailing away on his knees in a goalmouth scrum yet again. And even laughing with Zib about it.

So you admit that they'll likely not make the playoffs so these wins are absolutely meaningless and we hurt a chance at getting a great player and it's a little annoying to be upset about a win? I think there's a balance and it bothered me when people were actively rooting against us in game threads. But overall this is not good for the franchise.

Realistically I don't think the Rangers were ever going to be bad enough to finish bottom 5. In most drafts there's not a huge drop off from 6 to 9/10. And yes, I would love a gamebreaking forward more than anything lol

For real.

Team squeaks by 3 bad teams and the playoff pals come out of the woodwork.

FYI to all of the anything can happeners, Florida has 4 games in hand on the Rangers and the Isles are about to play the trio of dead weights that the Rangers just beat while the Rangers have Winnipeg, Tampa and Florida (the last 2 on the road) this week.
That’s all fine and good. But when the team is getting reamed by the refs and clobbered with cheap shots and cross checks, when they fight back and win I’m very happy.

Just dont hope they somehow help AV stay.

Good lottery ticket is ofc important, but we cant ask our players to throw games.

Winning games after 7 straight losses is important.

Let's be honest, the GDTs were 100x more negative when the Rangers were actually good. Lately they've just been a lot of discussion about young players, and some joking around. I've seen other boards turn into 24/7 tank arguments. It's not worth it.

It's a little different since there's a lottery in the NHL but some of you guys would have bragged about the Giants winning a few extra games at the end of the 2003 season and not getting Eli Manning or Ben Roethlisberger.
