othmann def been noticeable...which you'd expect or at least hope to see given where his odds are for cracking the lineup and the kind of game he plays but that said....doesn't make it any less great to see.

kakko to me is the guy who's really stood out. the goal was a nice play but he's been so dominant on the puck in a way that really looks promising for what it could translate to. its not that he's created a ton of offense all night, that would be nice to see but preseason games can provide a lot more opportunities to flash in that way and that's not going to be there in the regular season. he's just been so gd strong on the puck, in puck battles, being ahead of the play on all the plays that don't show up on the stat sheet...but that stuff translates a lot more. that stuff is what leads to the offense against nhl teams in games that matter, and even this early, it's hard to not feel like he's ready to take on a much more prominent role.

Kakko looks the way I think people thought Laf would look. You gotta remember though he is a year older and at that age that is a big difference. Kakko will be on the first line very quickly.

Kanji is also playing against actual NHL defensemen. Laf didn’t do anything against a Bruins team icing nothing close to their full lineup.

i don't know what the scene is these days, but historically the ahl is where you really saw murderers row as a young guy who liked to throw hands. nhl has always had some heavyweights no doubt, but the ahl always had some absolute mutants - plus the volume of fights was way higher. maybe it's dialed back but a few years ago every team had at least one guy who wanted to throw practically every night. they were sickos
