Confirmed with Link: New York Islanders claim Boqvist

lol, I guess George sits. He’s looked kinda raw for a couple of games.

Romanov - Deangelo
Pelech - Boqvist
Perunovich - Mayfield

Come get the Stanley cup!

I said the same thing. He’s (George) been stapled to the bench late game.

Low risk for a former first rounder.

Boy George got stapled to the bench for the last 33 minutes last night. Really struggling as of late and his skating has been the only bright spot. I hate the environment at Bridge but he can use some top pair minutes vs lesser competition

0 risk. He’s an RFA too. And a right hander. Maybe he fits in Roy’s system?

One thing is for sure, you really don’t need to give up anything for an undersized offensive D these days. Reilly, Tony D, Perunovich and now Boqvist for the total of one conditional 5th.

If these kind of guys fit into Roy’s system it would give us a ton of flexibility

Send George to Bridgeport. Looked shaky last few games so give him the minutes but i think everyone liked what they saw and he part of the future

Thats actually not terrible...lol
This not being bad is basically contingent on Deangelo not turning back into a pumpkin. Which I’m not sure will happen. It’s been a fun 3 games but you gotta think that playing this dude 28 minutes a night isn’t exactly a foolproof plan

Roy does get to run a lite version of his vision though. They’re winning now but Sorokin has been playing out of his mind. To be fair though, having a top 5 goalie is part of this roster’s recipe for success

So, this is like the re-tooling we've been talking about, right?
Lou was forced into a spot to react to, I’ll applaud he’s scouring the hockey world to bring in help.

There may be several benefits out of this in the short and long term. I think he retains AD based on his performance (and interpersonal skills).

Funny thing is, Roy is getting the puck-moving D that he wants, albeit off the scrap heap.
