this picture would make a great Avatar, with Brown's face in place of Hall and Carter in place of Nash
To the original poster: that is one failure of an analogy. Did the L.A. Kings acquire highly-touted free agents? No. Most Kings fans even bitc#ed, whined, moaned, and groaned how the team failed to land Brad Richards during the 2011 Off-season and when the team landed Simon Gagné instead, most Kings fans cried because he's not Luc Robitaille.
I miss collectively comparing Simon Gagne, Mike Richards, and Jeff Carter as the Three Musketeers.
I demand someone superimpose Brown's head over D-Bry's.
I think the Miami Heat will always be referred to as the nWo of professional sports.
Everyone is over thinking it. A few posters, myself included, thought it was an amusing comparison a while back after I posted that Sherman gif. Today I was browsing some new fonts for an unrelated project and this one caught my eye. Thought it would be funny to make a goofy photo. Didn't realize it would be analyzed with such scrutiny.
And I don't remember anyone calling them the Three Musketeers.
If the Kings are the NWO of hockey who is the D/X?
Calgary is the Hart foundation by default.
Philadelphia? Kind of a more childish, immature, I have to watch because it's such a train wreck, wannabe nWo, but where some of the best parts (Hall and Nash in the clique days) of the nWo came from.
Agreed.
If we are going down this route then I say Edmonton is Kaientai (Taka Michinoku's WWF group.) A bunch of really entertaining young wrestlers that just never did anything but get beat up by other people.
Would this mean Detroit is the Corporation?
Pittsburgh. After all, doesn't everybody just assume that Crosby is Bettman's crown jewel kinda how the Rock and later on HHH was for Vince?
