Poor Jack Smith. The guy has to pass 47 prospect to have a shot at stealing a chair from
An actual NHLer 😂
Yeah he might as well need to start finding a second career soon in case he can't make a living out of hockey... at least Daniil Sobolev can stay in Russia and find a spot in Russia second or 3rd tier leagues

Jack Smith can finish his NCAA in peace and he's even good in school, hockey might not be his priority at this point...

Wow, you guys still underestimate Kapanen. I believe he will unlock more offensive upside once he gets out of Finland.

I just don't understand how people could put Hutson above Reinbacher. We are talking about a 5th overall pick in the 2023 draft.
And?

Why does draft position matter so much to you?

In the mlb, they rank prospects according to actual performances and not draft pedigree

NCAA doesn’t come close to comparing to the top Swiss pro league. DR playing top minutes at 17. He was a pro years before Hutson. That deserves respect

I do not disagree, I just disagree that putting Hutson over Reinbacher is crazy.

Demidov is #1. Hutson and Reinbacher are 2 and 3, but the order is subjective.

I wonder if that's the best Habs top ten of recent memory.
Definitely better than 2015's list of prospects

It easily is just because of the inclusion of Demidov. We’ve never had a player like that in the system.

I remember back in the day around when I joined when this site used to have writers, the Habs system was voted #1. But it never had that talent level. It was just solid guys like Chipchura, Kostitsyn and Price. Obviously Price was an elite prospect, but he’s still just a goalie.

I know there were other times when our pool was considered quite good. We didn’t have talent like Demidov, Reinbacher and Hutson.

Those 3 are legit blue chippers imo. We haven’t had a Demidov level player in our system in my lifetime I don’t think lol.

It’s quite possible but we just have really really good depth now. I haven’t seen enough of him to really say but he’s trending like a C version of Lehky which would complement our top 6 wonderfully. Whether it be with him in it at times as a winger or in a bottom 6 role

Wild that Lehkonen is the only good player on that list.

And who has two years experience defending against adult pros, something easier to do if you can skate backwards very well.
