“That ship has sailed,” Mitchell Rales, the top partner in Josh Harris’s ownership group, told a crowd of nearly 700 at a dinner hosted by David Rubenstein and the Economic Club of Washington, D.C. on Wednesday. “We’re not going to re-litigate the past. We’re about the future. We’re about building the future and not having a divisive culture that we’re engaged in.

Seriously nothing better out there? Dumpster diving! Slip sliding away!
I like getting as many vets as you can into PS or TC. They wont make the initial 53 but come week 13 in November .. if a unit has been hit hard, its nice to have a vet on speed dial who is somewhat familiar w your playbook and organization.

Dynami Brown, Samuel, Dotson are 3 fragile dudes. Dotson gets some slack, just his second year but still.

I’m all for vets, just not one that can’t stay on the field. Feels like an unimaginative move to me is all. He may turn out fine, and I liked him well enough previously. He can be signed off the squad by any team right?

Howell named a captain. Not sure how a feel about this being a member of the earn it camp when it comes to captain of a team.

It was voted by the other players, so he earned it. He earned their respect.

Here you go John Price. Have a dog for me.

The new ownership seems to good to be true. Still used to Snyder. Wondering when the BS will start.

"Fed Ex Field is ready to show out"

The fans would probably settle for just not having leaking sewage raining down on them. But yeah, Josh seems to really get it, he has a full fixer upper repair job and all those little things will add up. The fact that the fans have poured back in almost instantly, is a testament to the fans themselves. They never stopped caring.

So yes, they're hinting heavily that the name will probably change (because fans will surely vote to do so and they know it). But it won't be Redskins.

I love the Redskins name, brand, moniker, and uniforms. Will always think it was one of the best logos in sports. I think the uniforms are some of the best in NFL history. Hopefully as time passes it’ll mainly be synonymous with Joe Gibbs, The Hogs, The Fun Bunch, The Posse, and winning Super Bowls and less and less with f***stick Magoo Rat Bitch Danny Boy. All that said, there’s no point in going back. The last thing the ownership group needs to do is unnecessarily thrust the team back into the national spotlight due to controversy and put a screeching halt to all the good vibes surrounding the team.

I’m ok changing the name again and burying anything left that has to do with Snyder. I’d also like them to burn their white jerseys with fire and then light the ashes of those jerseys back on fire. I just hope if they do change the name again it doesn’t suck.

They are bringing back alumni. First Riggins reunited with the team and now RG3. Riggins used to work radio on the pregame show but stopped showing up after the name changed, so seeing him associated with the team again is pretty nice. Now RG3, even though his legacy was complicated here.

I think I like the moves they're doing. This isn't Rales or Harris' team. They are just caretakers. They've made it clear the team belongs to the city and the people. They are fans but they have a long way to rebuild rep and bringing RG3 into the mix at least for hype videos helps. A refreshing difference from the Snyder days.

Riggo sealed his fate, with lil Danny, by publicly calling him out as a shithead many moons ago. If he’s back “with” the team, it’s a good thing.

Anyone, not a teenager, would be hard pressed when hearing Washington Redskins not instantly think of him.

Don‘t overbuy into their kind words….they‘re here to be in the most exclusive club in the world and makes billions….definitely refreshing but actions speak louder than words.

Not gonna lie I love this. I will always have a soft spot for RGIII. I know his youthful arrogance and overinflated ego were big reasons he flamed out here but man, for those of us 40 year old and under, 2012 was the best year of football of our lives. We had a legit superstar at QB and he was ours. Homegrown. Not an over the hill has-been we hoped could give us a good year or two.

4th and 25, KC deep in their own territory. They have 3 timeouts and the 2 min warning and they go for it. And don’t get the 1st down. Wow.

Bengals, Bills and Jags fans loving that result last night. And that was one of the easier games on the Chiefs schedule. No margin for error at the top.
