Virtually every successful line in NHL history has a skater/passer, a shooter and a guy who opens up da ice for his buddies.. like Bruins -- Pasta skater/shooter/skill, Berge skater/passer/forecheck and Marchand skater/shooter/forecheck/skill and who is da pest and gets in on forecheck with speed and puts his body in risky situations for his line mates .. it works for them as they are a little unusual with 3 skating/skill guys but it works as Bergey/Marchand both get in our forecheck and fight for loose pucks .. Pasta stays high and waits for pass .. hard in CAP era to have 3 guys who can skate with skill all together though and Bruins did it with hard negotiating which is their trademark .. but they can be pushed around and I think you will see more of it this year with Nick/Chara gone .. Pasta can get intimidated with a big hit .. Marchand is easily provoked and can go nuts at any time and take penalties .. Berge is cool and keeps line intact but he will slow down at some point soon enough and da line will suffer greatly
