There's good news and bad news.

Good news is that if we lose tonight and tomorrow but the Rangers beat the Panthers, they clinch us.

The bad news is that if that happens, they're only 2 points behind us.

And between some of the shaky goaltending from Vitek + Blackwood experimentation, we could be looking at the Rangers and us fighting over 2nd.

But I'll wait to see us lose these next two before worrying about that. Still pretty premature on my part.

One thing that I’ve been saying and is repeatedly evident is the defense as a whole needs more foot speed next season. Big time. And it becomes even more concerning when you figure severson is likely going to be gone, which makes it worse.
