Yea I'm thinking the same thing, along with Sullivan and Berube, also Brind'amour possibly. Essentially it a short list with the top of the list being filled with the coaches currently available, and some who aren't yet.

at least firing coaches is a quicker thing than waiting for a prospect to wash out.

He's gonna be a great hire if he's the guy, I've been on record since he got fired to bring him in. I don't think the Oilers failures early year or playoffs are anywhere on him. I think if we did what the Isles/Blues did and hired guys long term with Woodcroft last year, we would've made the playoffs especially if say Fitz got Markstrom too
