So whats the over/under on amount of games until the Devils change it something else because everyone still says "you suck". I give it no more than 5 games.

NOTICE the question mark...AT ALL I was mixing it up with another failed possibility that indeed sounds like the Rags song.

I don't like it that much but how long do you think it will last with all the You Suck you can hear.
 
13K on a Saturday night, they're sure winning this battle. Suck the life out of the building and give them a mediocre product and watch those Bergen County families show up.

Wait, you mean they used to play in Bergen County and no one showed up?

More to it than that. No one is buying single games, obviously. Last season killed that. Kovalchuk killed that.

They still have STH because they renew early and you can drag people in to replace those that leave.

Then you have the ticket crackdown, high price tiering early season games, and the family-izing of an audience that was young, rowdy and a tad drunk. THIS is what is on them, the other things are out of their control.

Next season is going to be an absolute bloodbath unless something unforeseen happens

Maybe I'm naive but I don't know how many tickets Kovy sold on his own. I think the winning that came along with Kovy might have put fannies in the seats. However, Kovy himself couldn't help attendance last year when we were losing.

I do agree with the rest of your post. I do think they alienated the young, rowdy, drunk crowd. I sometimes glance at facebook or twitter and see hundreds of fans complaining about little things like the goal song, saying they won't attend games until it's changed back.

I think if you're going to have a reputation of being a "No Fun Zone" then you really have to have a knockout product. Like the NFL. The Devils are not a knockout product by any stretch of the imagination. I firmly believe that right below the losing, management has a direct hand in this debacle.

Here's something though: Apparently the game against the Bruins is going to be retro night. As much as I like SNA...a retro night without our CAA retro goal horn?

As long as SNA won(and they actually keep it and not get rid of it after the first "You Suck" chant), that's all that matters.

But at the rate the Devils are going, we might never hear the song EVER.
 
Well, they agreed to play the song we 'picked' (after acknowledging that RRP2 votes were disqualified), but they never said how loud or how fast they'll play it, so maybe they'll figure out a way to play it where we won't be able to chant anything.
