Are people still making this a huge deal considering we haven't won a game yet and we are going on week 3 of the season? I'll glady take a ****** goal song in exchange for a winning product on the ice.

At this point, people are going to be booing the goal song, booing the players, and booing the coaching staff tomorrow night. The booing trifecta. Boy, do I wish I still lived in the 973 so I could try my hardest to get seats for this fiasco thats going to occur.

However, if the Devils brass at least bring back RRP2, it would give Devils fans a little jolt of Optimism at this point.

If any other song other than RRP2 won out, then it's blatantly obvious that they tossed out the MAJORITY vote and paid attention to the small minority.
It's like this....
Let's say that RRP2 got 95% of the vote....
They toss that out and only count the 5% voting for whatever cruddy song left... That would really take the cake.

Just from what I'm hearing(or rather reading) from the posters here.
I think it was mentioned by one of the posters about a Team Rep telling him that RRP2 is the absolute Front-runner.
There was no actual percentage but I'm basing my previous post on that.

I sure as hell voted RRP2. And called a rep. She said email the hell out of the reps and let them know you want to keep it.

Then again reps could be saying that to blow smoke. Who knows. If not then the two obvious choices are going to play out: Either we hear RRP2 or management disregards the votes.

I also talked to a rep today.
Said they werent expecting the voting to go this way at all. They didnt think RRP2 would get this many votes. They thought by saying they want a new goal song, people would put something different.
He wouldnt say if it was leading, just said they didnt expect this many votes for RRP2

Safe to say it's winning by a large margin. A ticket rep I talked to said 3/4 of the votes have been for RRP2.

I find this tangent absurd, also we're currently 0-4-3, and RRP2 is a catchy song.
