we haven't had an NA 3 team under the current ownership once the NAHL Version was granted and returned in 2019; likely because fwiu, they wanted to focus solely on a successful relaunch of the NAHL Nordiques.... the original Nordiques were in the same league from 1973-77, and were folded about the time pro hockey arrived at Cross Arena (where the current ECHL franchise has been since 2018); I also discount the 1st year of any existing franchise for historical reasons as to not make comparisons to any previous incarnation since the Nordiques brought both the NA 3 team to the Colisee which then leveraged into the current NAHL Nordiques....

btw, Nordiques just announced a 2 game exhibition series in early September or about 1 month from today;
