FPHL 2024-25 DIVISION ALIGNMENTS

Binghamton, NY - The Federal Prospects Hockey League office of the commissioner has approved the leagues division alignments for the upcoming 2024-25 FPHL season.

2024-25 Divisions will be as follows:

Empire Division
Binghamton Black Bears - Binghamton, NY
Danbury Hat Tricks - Danbury, CT
Dashers Hockey - Danville, IL
Hudson Valley Venom - Hudson Valley, NY
Motor City Rockers - Fraser, MI
Port Huron Prowlers - Port Huron, MI
Watertown Wolves - Watertown, NY

Continental Division
Athens Rock Lobsters - Athens, GA
Baton Rouge Zydeco - Baton Rouge, LA
Blue Ridge Bobcats - Wytheville, VA
Carolina Thunderbirds - Winston-Salem, NC
Columbus River Dragons - Columbus, GA
Mississippi Sea Wolves - Biloxi, MS
Monroe Moccasins - Monroe, LA

The FPHL and its member clubs have also nearly concluded the scheduling for the 2024-25 season as well. ...

FPHL TO HOLD EXPANSION DRAFT

Binghamton, NY - The Federal Prospects Hockey League will be holding its Expansion Draft on Thursday June 27th at 1PM EDT.

The draft is held any year that there are expansion member teams added to the FPHL for the upcoming season.
This year the FPHL welcomes 3 new league members:

Athens Rock Lobsters - Athens, GA
Dashers Hockey - Danville, IL
Monroe Moccasins - Monroe, LA


The FPHL also has welcomed
*The Hudson Valley Venom - Hudson Valley, NY

(Hudson Valley purchased the Elmira River Sharks membership at the end of the 2023-24 season)

All 2023-24 member teams that where post season eligible have the right to protect 12 players on there roster from being selected in the draft. No team will loose more than 5 players from their unprotected roster.

All new membership teams as well as teams that did not make the 2023-24 FPHL post season will participate in the expansion draft. Member teams from 2023-24 that were not post season eligible will be allowed selections in 2 rounds of the draft. All new member teams will be allowed selections in 11 rounds of the draft. A total of up to 39 players may be selected overall in the draft.

* Hudson Valley which purchased the Elmira River Sharks existing membership retain the rights to all River Sharks rostered players which carry over to the new team membership. Hudson Valley will be eligible to participate in 2 rounds of the draft.

Results of the draft will be released after it concludes and all selections are verified. ...

Definitely not HC either. If they’re not using Danville, come up with anything like Blue Ridge, Motor City or Hudson Valley
"Vermilion County Bobcats" scorched the whole Danville hockey branding landscape. It may be advisable for the latest group of D'ville hockey fans to show up for games anonymously ... at least until the team successfully completes their inaugural home opening weekend ...

"Hope" and "Soskin" have no business being used in the same sentence. He's got a team, he's got a town, he's very likely piled the rest of the details on Team President Diane Short. You can express your concerns/desires to her.

Having a 14 team league with all teams completing the 56 game schedule is good enough for me
