HC Venom played surprisingly well in Watertown, building a 5-2 lead in the 3rd period before the Wolves trimmed the score to 5-4. HCV held on, and now will have a week to find a practice facility to get ready for their next rescheduled game.
They did it once. They can do it again (maybe).Danville can’t win…
The South has risen again!Good to see Louisiana teams playing steady.
Lost 5-4 to the Bobcats, I'd say their D was silent ...The Zydeco unveiled their Mardi Gras jerseys and uh, misspelled their own name on each and every one. Including the replicas sold to fans.

I am so excited for these games. It has been so depressing since we lost the Topeka Pilots (formerly Topeka Roadrunners). I love that two of the teams are going to play as the Topeka Scarecrows (Central Hockey League Junior A hockey team that folded in 2001) and the Topeka Roadrunners (NAHL Tier II juniors). From: Federal Prospects Hockey League
Question for a local hockey fan: Is the current Stormont Vail Events Center facility a significant improvement for hosting hockey vs. the previous Landon Arena configuration/infrastructure? Mrs. JMC 'n' me attended a Roadrunners game there many years ago, and it was a mighty depressing arena for hockey. But the location is a reasonable drive for a weekend pair, so I'd consider returning if the reimagined venue is worth a visit.I am so excited for these games. Stormont Vail Event Center is the Landon Arena. It went through a significant remodel inside and out just before the COVID-19 shutdown. My family and I moved here from Las Vegas in 2016 (before and after the remodel) and it is a totally different arena now. Absolutely beautiful now, but I am very concerned that the locals will not support anything other than Kansas University, Kansas State University, Washburn University, KC Chiefs and KC Royals. I will for sure buy 5 season tickets for my wife and 3 boys as soon as they are available.Question for a local hockey fan: Is the current Stormont Vail Events Center facility a significant improvement for hosting hockey vs. the previous Landon Arena configuration/infrastructure? Thanks for the perspective. I caution you to research & consider the historical unrest & frequent upheaval within the FHL/FPHL over the League's 15 storied seasons, before you dive in to the cesspool of staunch ST-holding supporters with dreams of a hockey market resurgence. As chaotic as the NAHL era was under Lamar Hunt Jr. (with lingering contributions from previous membership owners), you ain't seen nothin' like the Soskin-Kirnan Flying Circus.... Ew, I do not like the AI logos for them or the Topeka throwbacks.
