Also, in canada you can only use shuffle on the free service and have a limited number of rewinds and fast forwards too (I think, its been a while)

Sure you can use other methods to listen to music but Spotify is so much more convenient and great for discovery of new music

Anyone can torrent, netflix is just convenient because it's easy to use on a smart tv or on the bus on your phone when you're bored

I don't get people who pay for netflix when you can stream the same shows free online. Yes you have to make a few more clicks, but they have one big thing netflix doesn: up to date on current shows.

If you are watching a season airing every week, its free to stream each episode online like 7 minutes after it airs, netflix you gotta wait 8 month for the full season. If I only used netflix and nothing else youd be watching things months late.

Netflix also has their own content that is mostly very good. I use Netflix and Hulu personally.

Spotify is great

I pay because it's a much more convenient UI and I don't have to move my laptop over to my TV to hook it up via HDMI that way, as well as Netflix having much more true HD than any free streaming site around.

I mean, I'll stream new stuff but for most everyday binge-watching of shows, Netflix is absolutely worth the money. $10/month is nothing too.

On the spotify note, it's awesome and I also pay for it due to it's amazing inter-device connectivity, ability to port downloaded songs for whatever they don't have available, and great UI for discovering songs.
