Was there a bidding war for this

Fox and NBC in the US, ESPN did not bid

I will guess Netflix will sublicense some of these games especially the US one, no chance it will be exclusively streaming. Other than the money it’s extremely risky, like the MLS deal unless Netflix explodes next few years with their sports coverage

Wasn't overtly impressed with their coverage of the Tyson fight. Feel like this deal should've been split between them and another network if they really wanted Netflix involved.

Ahh this happened when I Was on vacation. Dumb to do this. Color me old school but I prefer games on antenna on FOX (despite the commentator crew). Now I will be subjected to Netflix where the damn thing might buffer or crap out during a game.

Online streaming isn't reliable or solid enough to handle major events.

We'll find out how they do with the 2 NFL games they are broadcasting on Christmas Day.
At least one game will be broadcast internationally as well, since I'm seeing it advertised here in Finland on Netflix. So that will probably be another test for their streaming ahead of WWE streaming on January 3rd outside the US.
