The problem with this service is that you're at the mercy of your Internet connection.......which can often times be frustrating with these live stream apps.......I still think NHL Center Ice (aside from having NESN/Cable locally) is the way to go

I had GameCenter on my PS4 for a while when I lived out of the NE area, which I immediately cancelled..... if you have the even the SLIGHTEST bit of Internet lag with a service like this......you're screwed

Having an ethernet port was a must have, which is why I went with the Roku 3. I figured, if things went to poop, I could always just run a wired drop to it.

Oh and BTW, PSVue doesn't currently work on Roku TV's (televisions with the roku stuff built in). It's an update thing.

I did the preview. Vue worked well. It did go down for android for a day or two though. Growing pains..

Glad to see NESN finally.

Vue can ONLY be used at your home. If it sees your IP change it cancels your service. With VUE you get provider logins to the channels like WATCHESPN, etc. NESN still has no app. Living in the dark ages still.

Wired or not you are still at the mercy of your internet provider and its reliability. Sounds like yours is but some may be in areas where they have crappy service and it wouldn't be practical.

no issues. couldnt tell the difference from when i had directv.

my preview ends on friday so if i dont have any issues im gonna get the core tier plan.

do the $60 roku boxes come with remotes?? i might just get those for the other tvs instead of chromecasts.

Facing another Directv price increase so I want to consider my other options since NESN is part of the reason I have kept it. Problem is that I would lose CSNNE for the Celtics but I am more interested in Bruins and Red Sox than Celtics so I will have to say goodbye to the Celtics If I cut DIrectv and switch to VUE. It has been about a month since NESN started streaming on VUE. Can those who have been streaming NESN VUE over the last month provide feedback on how it has been working out?

Any freezes or buffering issues using Roku?
Is a Roku stick sufficient or would I need to upgrade to a Roku 2 instead of the stick?
Anyone streaming over Apple TV? I may be able to get one from someone that does not use his anymore.
I have 50mbps internet will I have to increase my speed?

You would not be saying goodbye to the Celtics, CSN NE is on Vue too.

I have FIOS for my Internet with a Roku 3 and it has been very stable, was a night about a month ago that buffered alot but for the most part very happy with it.

50mbps should be fine, as long as you don't have 5 streams going at once along with downloads on the pc, etc

When we bought the new house we went Roku, it has been great but NBCSN games have blacked out but can watch as "on demand" , I'll be excited when NESN has its own channel on roku ( no vue).

Thanks for Vue feedback.

I didn't notice that CSNNE was on Vue.

One more question it looks like WBZ 4 is the only local with ABC, NBC, and Fox being on demand content only. Is that correct?

I have household members that would not be happy missing out on shows that they watch on those local channels not yet on Vue. Does on demand content have all episodes available or just limited episodes available. And what about a day like today when the Patriots are on Fox, does that mean that there is no way to watch the Patriots on Vue when they are not on channel 4?

It's free for a week. Try it out.

No go when Patriots are on FOX and live network shows not on CBS, best thing to do would be put up a antenna if you live close enough to Boston.

if the pats are on fox. you would miss it.
i dont follow the pats so its not an issue for me.

if you know somebody that has cable you can use their provider credentials and use the foxgo app. via chromecast or firestick. thats the legal way.

not sure about the other local shows.
are they live? i mean ch4 is live on vue. i only watch it when we wanna see the news every once in a while.
