I actually didn’t know he was 63 years old. He might be a guy that actually stays at Indiana as long as they’ll have him especially at that price.

They gave Tom Allen 7 seasons & he didn’t have a punch above weight type of season until year 4 & 5.

They’ll rename the stadium after him if he can notch a few playoff appearances

Unless the NFL comes in & takes a coach causing a domino effect this probably is looking like the best job on the market this cycle.

Firing seems like a harsh way to put it, Mack was already talking about how they needed to talk about it. That's usually all that needs to be said.

Nothing too crazy in the bracket this week. Clemson is the first team out. Big 12 needs to watch out for Tulane.

I am prepared to make the SC > Bama argument if they manage to win this game. Yes, I know it will never happen. Different issue.

The team I want in the least is Clemson. Paper thin. If they jump Indiana with a win, the B1G honks deserve to go nuts.

I think Alabama & Ole Miss are both top 8 team’s ability wise. Most analytical models even back that too. But how many mulligans do you want?

One of them might back door themselves in with help & that’s fine but good god. They’re rightfully in a position where their fate lies in the hands of others. At some point results on the field have to matter as if not what’s the point?

If Texas & Georgia make it to the SEC CG (assuming both win this upcoming weekend) neither should be held accountable for that result imo.

I've seen people trashing Indiana as a team that shouldn't be in. Their conference schedule isn't their fault. They're in the Big 10. They beat the doors off of most of their opponents. I'd much rather give those teams the benefit of the doubt if we're going to do this dopey superconference thing.

If that schedule with 1 loss puts them below anyone with 3 Regular Season (non-CCG) losses, then there's no point in even pretending anyone else has a chance.

Yeah Illinois is definitely being pretty propped up in the public polls. But I think they’re closer to a top 40 team than a top 25. I think Iowa, USC, Minnesota, & Michigan are actually better, records be dammed. You’re probably aware that analytic models are a hell of a lot higher on USC than public perception. They don’t ding them as much for a bunch of one score coin flip games they ultimately lost.

But the middle of the league just wasn’t really that good this year.

Buster Faulkner both worked for Kirby and already runs what gives those Saban/Kirby school defenses the most problems — 3x1s and QB legs. I’m not shocked.

If I had a nickel for every late-hit/unsportsmanlike that has gone uncalled on Georgia I'd have 15 cents.
