The self-proclaimed smart football school hiring a Marine to do spy work is one of the funniest things to happen in years.

It’s really no different than New England to me. If there was no benefit to it you wouldn’t be doing it. But at the same time it’s not the difference of some crater size variance that some want to make it out to be.

I also get the whole “if you ain’t cheating you ain’t trying” mantra but when you get caught you then deal with the consequences. You can’t use the two wrongs make a right excuse & play victim. You took your shot & you eventually got caught so now you deal with the repercussions.

In any event just judging the talking points being bandied around Michigan circles they’re probably gonna play dumb & try to discredit this guy’s ties to the program (not that would be any different from any other part of society with that type of power dynamic caught in scandal).

Yep, we’re in agreement. I don’t give a single shit that they were doing it, but they deserve everything coming to them for doing it so stupidly.

@LegionOfDoom91 I'm updating my data and I just got to Penn St. Singleton got TEN touches in their biggest game of the year?! Holy SHIT.

He’s been so inconsistent this year but this is like the one game he actually seemed to have a little something & they abandoned the run.

Ohio State’s defense definitely exposed areas of concern with their offense though (lack of quality pass catchers & OL). On the flip side I think Penn State’s defense did the same with Ohio State’s offense. I don’t think McCord is good & neither is their OL but they do at least have Harrison. They don’t have a run game.

Penn State has Fashanu who didn’t have a great game & then their RT Cadean Wallace is probably ok but the interior absolutely stinks. Their TE’s are good but at WR they probably really only have Keandre Lambert-Smith he’s probably better suited as WR2-3. Cephas has been a bust, he seemingly runs wrong routes a good bit when he’s out there so I understand why the coaches seemingly don’t have trust in him even if he might seemingly be their second most talented WR.

@JojoTheWhale this Michigan thing gets even more hilarious. It’s being alleged that a Michigan alum & booster Jim Stapleton is the one leaking information to media/NCAA about this scandal. Apparently the guy cannot stand Harbaugh. He’s a minority owner for the Minnesota Vikings & put an end on Harbaugh’s potential hiring there a few years ago when Harbaugh was interested.

Man, I hope someone turns this into a documentary

I find it interesting last week when this first broke the Big Ten apparently gave an out to Michigan State not to play in that game last Saturday. I’d imagine it was administration & not the actual coaches/players that apparently almost considered not playing. Not that it was a great game in reality or expectations but it was still a prime time game on NBC. So it probably still did relatively decent ratings.

College football message boards are the wildest. For every 10 posts like these 9 of them will be utter bullshit but that 1 might actually be someone who has some legit inside information.

This mess only gets funnier. The Tennessee loss at South Carolina that took them out of playoff contention was the very next week after the purchased ticket to Tennessee-Kentucky.

That's the game where Hooker went down if it jogs your memory. It's also the infamous "How the hell did South Carolina score 63 Points?" game. Now for the weird stuff. This was the first time South Carolina wore wristbands on defense all year. Oh and the SC Defensive Coordinator was the DB coach at Stanford under Harbaugh.

If Michigan had been contracted by NE to do their radio shenanigans, then the execution would have been "Dude decked out in Patriots gear steals headsets from opposing coaches on TV in the midst of playcalls"

Michigan fans seem to be somewhat at the acceptance stage. I think reality has somewhat set in that this thing is very real & it’s probably gonna end up with Harbaugh out as coach there. It wasn’t rival coaches that set them up but the call seemingly came from insider the house.

Shane Beamer was fined $25K back in 2010 for using received leaked game plans.

I love that we can't yet discount the funniest possible outcome, which is Kevin Warren hiring Harbaugh and handing him Caleb Williams.

*Edit*
