Love seeing Maryland lose in this manner.
Not even a year after winning the ACC/going to the Final Four. But they sucked this year.
My thoughts exactly. They couldn't fire him after that ACC tourney run alone, yet alone the NCAA run, but Keatts has been disappointing for a few years now. Outside his first year with the Pack his finishes in the ACC have been 6th (twice), 8th, 9th, 10th, 15th, 16th with an overall conference record 15 below .500 in an ACC that's been on the decline. Even taking this year out of the equation he's still below .500 in conference play. They kinda sucked last year, too, but went on an epic run at the end of the year. If not for that run, he’d have been gone a year ago.
Yea they were awful last year but salvaged by that epic run. This year they're absolutely horrific, losing to teams they have no business even having a close game with (much less losing), and they just blew yet another 10 pt halftime lead to loseMy thoughts exactly. Likewise the only time our football team had any relevancy whatsoever was when we had Russell Wilson, and even he couldn't always drag that team out of their own shitWell I was going to make a post about how the men's program is probably a lost cause at this point and the women's program should be getting more dollars or whatever, but they didn't win the championship today sadly![]()
But they at least win a lot of games and make deep ACC/NCAA tournament runs. I'm 36 and the only time the Men's program ever did anything remotely worthwhile in my lifetime was last year.
I'll say this though, whoever gets the job needs to understand that 1983 was a long time ago and isn't relevant to today. I always the last 15-20 years was spent romantizing that time period.
I loved watching him play, but state had 1 winning season in the 3 years he played. They weren't relevant. Unless they were also relevant with several others.Likewise the only time our football team had any relevancy whatsoever was when we had Russell Wilson, and even he couldn't always drag that team out of their own shit
