We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.
What This Means for You:
- If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
- If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
- Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
- Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress
Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Would have had a better shot had they not lost to GT and Wake. That and if they had been able to pull off that one UVA game they'd be in. The committee's metrics are not what they were 5-10 years ago.

sure state had bad losses but they getting punished for playing in ACC; NCSU a much better team than Arizona State who play in a really bad conference. irritates the heck out of me, but my team is in so i'll be fine

Anyone interested in an HFCanes Yahoo bracket challenge? I seem to recall @gocanes88 was the one who did them in the past but he hasn't posted here lately. I joined the HFBoards overall bracket on the Basketball forum but also figured among ourselves and friends we can compete to see who is best at picking 18-22 y/os playing shooty hoops.

Wow really great diversity in our group. 9 brackets that all have UNC or Duke as champion.
That actually makes it a little more fun IMO. The winner will be whoever picked the earlier rounds more correctly, which to me is the fun of the bracket. They usually don't mean as much, since you can have a terrible bracket but pick the champion and still finish very high in the typical group.

Auburn hangs on, but holy f*** that was one of the worst closes to a game I've ever seen.
Just coming to post this. Holy crap what a game. Auburn horribly mismanaged the last minute, but got saved by missed free throws after fouling the 3-pt shooter.
Not a convincing win for them in the least, and definitely not thrilled about having them in the Sweet 16 anymore.
