For anybody who loves hockey, the NCAA championship is on ESPN now (end of 1st) and a terrific game. It's so much fun to see these kids busting it on every shift...just a joy to watch and see some future NHLers.

Any it does my Flyers heart good to see Shayne Gostisbehere (Union D, wears the A) playing his butt off. Slapping the stick for the puck ,rushing up the ice, making things happen , scoring , setting up goals.

First bright light on the Flyers Defensive horizon in years....a lot of years.

Shayne Gostisbehere had a great game! 1G, 2A, +7 in the 7-4 win and the championship .

He really was impressive, for the 2 day tourney he had 5 points and was a Plus 11.
Bob MCkenzie said last night it was one of the greatest games he'd ever seen by an NCAA player.
He's got all the tools to be one terrific d, fast as hell, smart on both sides of the puck a nd very confident in all 3 zones. Only issue is his size, 5'11 and for the tourney they listed him at 170 lbs. he'll need to put on some muscle.
But the Flyers never get this lucky, Ghost is one of the bright spots (along with Anthony Stolarz, the 6'6 220 lb goalie stud currently playing for the London Knights, and Robert Hagg, the Swedish d they drafted last year) in the future.
