Curious as to why no NBA Teams in

St Louis
Pittsburgh
Buffalo
Montreal
Cincinnati
Kansas City

Not bringing up Seattle or San Diego who lost teams due to Arena issues

Edmonton,Calgary,Vancouver are all interesting candidates if prohibitive start up costs are taken care of.

NBA teams left St. Louis and Buffalo because of the NHL
The Cincinnati NBA team moved to Kansas City and is now in Sacramento
NBA and NHL failed in KC

Pittsburgh has NEVER had a NBA team

Actually, Pittsburgh had a team in the first year of the league, called the Ironmen. And they had two incarnations of the Condors in the ABA.

The NBA probably still has folks hoping mad at St. Louis over the hundreds of millions of dollars that they payed over the years to the Silnas brothers, the former owners of the ABA Spirits of St. Louis, over the decades. They made the Mets annual payouts to Bobby Bonilla seem like chump change by comparison.

Too small to read summary, they got close to $350 million total over the course of annual payments from 1976 to 2014 before getting (mostly) bought out for good for a whopping $500 million.
