Not ashamed to admit I'm one of those fans who wanted the 4th seed, wanted the Hawks as our opponent and thought despite a bit of a talent disparity, the Knicks, with their stellar defensive approach and Randle playing at such a high level, that they would be able to get past Atlanta in a tough hard fought 6-7 game series.
Well I was wrong as have a ton of other Knick fans in here and in Knickland, at least so far we've been.
The talent disparity is much greater than I anticipated as the Hawks seemingly have 6-7 guys they can go too when they need a big shot at key moments whereas the Knicks have maybe 3 and one of them Randle has been a shell of his regular season self thus far. I mean if you think about it, the two best Knicks in the series thus far has been DRose and Gibson. That's nice but not a good thing when that's the case.
I think the Knicks tho are resilient enough to win Game 5 at MSG and force a Game 6 back in Atlanta where the season very likely ends. Been a great season but I'd be lying if I didn't say I'm heavily dissapointed in the Knicks performance thus far as I thought they'd do much much better than a maybe more talented Hawk team but just as inexperienced playoffwise.
Oh well....on to Game 5. Let's win this and make the Hawks sweat it out in Game 6....that's the goal from my perspective at this point.
