Pronman is usually pretty good about owning up to his mistakes. It's a quality I wish I had myself. And to think Corey Pronman listed him as our 15th best prospect a year or so ago.
You know what that means? We've got 14 guys even better than Nazar coming!
or more likely Nazar will be featured in Pronman's next article about the guys he was wrong about.
Mike Sullivan would be the absolute perfect coach for this team going forwardHe’s a freaking player. Nothing play in third made me a full believer. Digs a puck out down low on defense and from stand still out skates everyone up ice. Like a one man fast break. Made me go ohhhh ok.
The team speed we’re about to have is going to be Colorado level. Vlasic Korch Lev Rinzel Nazar Moore Reichel lardis can all absolutely cruise.
I’d be fine with it. He lost the room in PIT years ago and needs a change of scenery. Giving the Hawks a successful vet coach could be great for all these kids.Mike Sullivan would be the absolute perfect coach for this team going forward
The way he had that 2016 Pens team utilize its speed with flip outs from the D and almost run under them to create havoc and odd man breaks was impressive
Yep I think they might have a mutual separation this summer even with 2 years on his dealI’d be fine with it. He lost the room in PIT years ago and needs a change of scenery. Giving the Hawks a successful vet coach could be great for all these kids.

Cant even say he really lost the room, their team is just full of old and slow players now instead of the younger guys they had 10 years ago. They really just needed to retool but instead are trying to go the Boston route and be stuck in the sports equivalent of hell for the forseeable future (similar to the 2018-21 Hawks under bowman)I’d be fine with it. He certainly trusted Sheary, Rust, and Guentzel. Problem is Pits prospect pool was already atrocious once those three were called up and they were trading first rounders like candy under rutherford making the issue even worse. Guy traded a first round pick for Ryan Reaves and slowly gutted a lot of their skill because Tom Wilson lived rent free in his old demented head. The one thing that Sullivan is not that great at is trusting and developing youg players. Sure he has great record in winning but not sure if he is right coach at this moment for Hawks.

If you polled every team, I'm willing to bet like 5 clubs would say their coach Does trust and play young players, and they're probably teams who currently or recently had a ton of 1st rounders, like Montréal would say St. Louis does.
There's fans blaming Sullivan for not playing 26 year Puljarvi who is leaving the league after not working out on his like 5th team. I never find that complaint worthwhile. Pittsburgh has had no young talent worthy of playing and developing because they kept going for it. I was also done with that complaint when people online i remember complained Q hated young players when he played Norstrom over Morin in some games in 2014... Nordstrom was younger.
We drafted prospects like Nazar and others on speed, Sullivan is to me the ideal coach fit.
How did I say anything about Morin being comparison to prospects we have coming in. Do you get what I'm saying? It's that fans make factually inaccurate statements and go over the top with this criticism. And people aren't fixed, coaches know situations can be different. It's not like he's incapable of knowing win now is not the goal elsewhere. But that's been his direction given to him from above for 8 years.Yeah thats the only thing about Sullivan not giving bust like Puljujärvi ice time. Also if you are comparing Morin to prospects we have coming in... Yeah ok.
Sullivan wants defense defense and no mistakes, make one mistake and you are in forth line or pressbox. That is not what you want to do with young players scared to make a mistake and you coach them out of creativity. Sure when Hawks prospects have crown as players Sullivan would be good choise to take them to ultimate goal of competing for Stanley Cup.

If you want to compare prospects, who at all since their cup wins has Sullivan had who is like a Nazar, Moore, Lev? Marcus Petterson developed when young. Plus Rust, guentzel, etc. During the cup run. There is zero, oh this guy thrived elsewhere because Sullivan didn't use him as a young guy around i hear about. I'm not aware of any that Pens fans pine over. And it is mainly because they blew all their picks winning 2 cups and trying to win more.
Pens fans for years have complained he's trying to have teams always play uptempo and fast. Nothing about defensive d... the entire Hawks prospects pool is about trying to play uptempo and fast.
