allegations and innocent until proven guilty

i'll give him a pass for now
Hard for me to give him a pass when multiple different parlors all said the same thing, and allegedly none of the women making the accusations had known or spoken with each other before, yet their stories and details were remarkably similar.

This did happen years ago, supposedly before he was married, so who knows. Maybe he got caught up in sudden fame and fortune and thought he wasn’t doing anything by a celebrity wasn’t allowed to do and now he’s older and no longer a threat, but this whole thing is gross.

I'm legitimately stunned. Haven't been this shocked by a trade my entire life and trust me has seen everything. The NHL are not going to match this even if the Oilers trade Mcdavid. Not even a Mavs fan but feel betrayed on their behalf. This is....yeah I'm stunned.

Could you imagine getting a late night call to trade for Luca. You say yes, as fast as you can and submit it.

I kind of think LeBron can whip him into shape as well. Luca just needs to copy his diet and train with him.

Fat luca reminds me of fat Ovie a bit. It’s not ideal, but it’s not really a problem.

I don't know anything about this situation but elite athletes who aren't over the hill and are getting fat are usually doing so because of some mental issue or addiction, imo.

Laziness after a big payday may play a part but there could be a drinking problem or something else contributing if a guy was at the top of his game and just fell off without some other obvious milestone. The work that became your life and that got you to the top doesn't just stop for no reason.

Not at that level.

You pull the trigger on a deal as quickly as possible if you are offered Luka and figure out the rest later. Dude just dragged an over the hill Kyrie to the finals by himself. He’s a top 3 player in the league. I can’t believe the Mavs didn’t shoo around for a better deal than that. AD is injury prone and will be 32. Two terrible things for a big man

Obviously some injury and fitness concerns for Luka but the guy can ball. Lakers now have to go after a new big man so they def not done making moves.

Luka's always had conditioning problems, from day one. Everyone's always put up with it because of the production and results. I guess with the looming supermax contract which would (I assume) be the largest contract in NBA history, and with the much harder salary cap they have in place after the new CBA, they're opting out of the whole experience to save themselves the headache they think he might turn into.

“Luca weighed as much as 260 this season”……

Yikes.

As Windy said on ESPN, the Lakers were like “are we the suckers here, what’s happening?”.

Luca no longer supermax eligible either…

Have to admit he did look kinda bloated up a bit to start the season but it's Luka thing, he has always been able to get that weight down over the course of the season and get better as it would get closer to the playoffs. He never missed that many games to consider it an issue and his play never really suffered to the point where you would question if he's that good.

As for Windy - he is just an agent's/GM's shill. He will say whatever about whomever when something big happens and act like he had always had an inside info or something. I'd never trust anybody from ESPN other than Shams.

Kinda?!? He’s got an embarrassing physique for a pro.

Word is the Mavs had enough of his poor diet/conditioning and believe it’s causing his injury issues, but I guess he was unwilling to change.

Being witness to Lucic's issues with the home team is a bigger deal when it comes to dropping what 325 million on his next contract? Short term they get back a high performing center probably less to resign.

Still miles better than AD who is much older, much more injury prone and not even close to being as much of a proven playoff performer as Doncic. There's only one top-10 player in that trade and it's not the one Mavs got.

Ovechkin didn't have a normal athlete physique for the most of his career either. Still has done what he has done
